Exporting
Costanza can help manage your EZproxy configuration, but in order for EZproxy to make use of that configuration, the files must reside on your EZproxy server. Costanza therefore provides an easy method to export your configuration.
To export your configuration from Costanza for use with EZproxy:
- Select Export file to EZproxy from the Actions menu in the navigation bar, or click the Export button on Costanza's home page
- Place a check in the box beside each file you would like to export
- If you are a hosted OCLC EZproxy customer and wish to use
IncludeFiledirectives rather than have Costanza place the complete stanza in your EZproxy file, check the Use OCLC's hosted IncludeFile for stanzas that have one box - Click the Export selected files button to start the export process
Costanza will then process each file you selected, ensuring you have the latest stanzas in your EZproxy files, and processing any rules you have defined for each stanza (see the section on Processing Rules). An email will be sent to you with a ZIP file attachment containing the processed EZproxy text files. The Zip file will also contain a folder with the JSON formatted files use by Costanza.
To use these files with EZproxy, you will need to extract the .txt files from the ZIP file and transfer them to the correct
folder on your EZproxy server.
NOTE: The only export method currently supported by Costanza is email. A future update to Costanza that supports SCP/SFTP is planned.
