Import
With this functionality you can copy content from tenant A to tenant B, and add assignments and filters in tenant B as the content is imported. This way you can set up a new tenant with a few easy steps from a master tenant.
- In the Settings page (gear icon), log in as source and destination tenant
- Open the Import page
- List all content in the source tenant
- Highlight the content you do not want to import and use the clear selected button to remove them from the grid
- (Optional) Add groups and filters as assignment. They will be retrieved from the destination tenant
- Click the Import button
Please note that only one filter can be applied for each import, and filters are platform specific. If you include a Windows filter for a macOS settings catalog, things will not work out so good.
Currently the following content can be migrated automatically:
- Settings catalog
- Device config
- Compliance policy
- Autopilot
- Powershell scripts
- Remediation scripts
- macOS shell scripts
- Feature Update ( Requires Windows licensing in the tenant )
- Quality Update ( Requires Windows licensing in the tenant )
- Windows Driver Update ( Requires Windows licensing in the tenant )
- Windows Update Rings
- Apple BYOD profiles
- Filters
- Groups
- Windows Expedite Policy
- Conditional Access Policies
- App protection
- App configuration
- Applications
Below is a list of known bugs and limitations. These will be fixed in a coming patch (Soon TM).
- Device compliance policies
Scheduled actions for non compliance aren't being properly migrated.
- Device configurations
The template type iOS Features is bugged in the Graph API.
- ADMX ingested template
Currently not supported.
- Hybrid Autopilot profiles
Currently not supported (who cares about it anyway...)
- Windows Update rings
There is a known bug where if you try to import 2 or more of these in the same import process only the first is imported.
