🎯 What is Lockout Sharing?

Lockout Sharing in World of Warcraft allows multiple characters or players to benefit from the same raid lockout.
A player with a saved lockout can invite others to their group. I share near 24/7 lockouts daily for faster mount farming.

By simply whispering Ywishare-Illidan !id You access retail-EU lockouts (instance list available below) , if you're the oposite faction (Alliance) you should join a Ywishare communitiy to be able to whisper.

🔹 Example:

If the 9th boss drops a mount, I invite you to a lockout where the first 8 bosses are already killed—you join and directly kill the 9th boss.
✅ The host does not need to be present, making the process automatic.

📢 Join In-Game Communities

This is required to access sending whispers cross-faction.
It is also where you can track if Ywishare is online through the member list.

To join a community:

1. Open the Guilds & Communities tab (default key: J)
2. Click "Create or Join Community"
3. Enter either of the following invite codes: 2ZrL7VbSoWp - rjR7x9eULA2 - GGjjWk4Hxzj - wWBAxJEcZeg

🚀 Requesting a Lockout

1. Make sure you're not in a party and standing outside the instance you want to join.
2. Whisper /w Ywishare-Illidan !id to receive a lockout.
3. Follow the instructions provided in chat.

🚦 Before Entering the Instance

• Normal Mode: !normal or !nhc (default setting if Normal & HC are available)
• Heroic Mode: !heroic or !hc

👥 Inviting Friends

• You can simply suggest invite your friends or alternatively type !lead before entering the instance — you’ll then have 30 seconds to list your group in lfg to invite others. (Raid: Legacy permits cross-faction listings)

🔍 Optional Commands

• !q or !queue To check your current position in the queue.
• !leave Removes you from the queue.
• !plus Support hosting Ywishare and acess priority queue.

🟢 When are you online?

I’m online most of the time. You can also check my status anytime through the member list of any in-game community.

🛡️ Is this safe?

Yes, lockout sharing is a standard feature since Mists of Pandaria. Fully compliant with Blizzard’s Terms of Service, I started sharing in 2025 which commonly occured through custom weakauras in 2025, though I now instead use Kamian's latest sharing addon: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/lockoutshare-y/.

💸 Is this free?

Free, forever! Ywishare's been online since Jan/2025 & I really despise the very low mount drop rates, especially raid mounts — it's nice making these hectic farms easier for others :)

⚠️ Limitations:

• Instances like Dragon Soul, Mogu'shan Vaults, Throne of Thunder, and Mythic Raids can’t be shared due to Blizzard’s restrictions.
• Only Normal/Heroic raids (Released after > Siege of Orgrimmar) and Mega Dungeons with flexible lockouts are shareable.
• Dungeons cannot be shared unless they're a Mythic mega-dungeon; any other difficulty is not supported since the lockout can't be extended from the raid tab.

❌ Why do I see "No player named Ywishare-Illidan is currently playing"?

If you see this message, please check the following:
- Make sure you've joined my in-game community if you’re on an Alliance character.
If not, you won’t be able to whisper me, and this error will appear even if I’m online.
- If you're on a Horde character or have already joined the community, it means I’m simply offline.
You can check the member list to verify if I'm online/offline.

📩 Why didn’t you reply to my whisper?

I don’t respond to any in-game whispers besides the available cmds — Ywishare is hosted on my second laptop and the chat i send is fully automated through the addon.
