Supply Chain Network Optimization project solving a constrained transshipment problem on a grid-based map. The project combines heuristic algorithms and exact Operations Research modeling (MiniZinc) to minimize transportation, facility opening, and shortage costs under spatial, capacity, and distance constraints.
This project focuses on detecting and predicting illegal fishing activities by analyzing transshipment events, vessel encounters, and loitering behaviors within maritime boundaries. Through exploratory data analysis and machine learning, the project uncovers the primary actors, identifies hotspots, and forecasts vessel movements to aid enforcement.
Predicting vessel transshipment (discharge) amounts using XGBoost regression trees on a very small dataset.
