A tighter fitting housing for the Gaggiuino ToFnLED PCB.
Printables model: Tight Gaggiuino ToFnLED PCB housing
Based on Loogle's ToFnLED Housing (Gaggiuino), a housing for the Gaggiuino ToFnLED PCB.
- Tighter tolerances, giving the ToFnLED PCB less room to wiggle and less likely to come out of the housing (but also more likely to not fit).
- Uses 2 mm thick, 6 mm diameter disc magnets, because that's what I had on hand.
- Embeds the magnets in the housing, no glue required.
- Open source, made with [FreeCAD], an open source CAD tool, so anyone can change it.
Just like the original ToFnLED housing, this model should be printed out of PETG or some other high temperature resistant material. I used Prusament Jet Black PETG. This model is designed to be printed "upright".
2 pauses should be added in the print, right after the pockets for the magnets are printed. Print the model with the pockets facing you to facilitate installing the magnets. PETG likes to ooze, so is not a great material for embedding things. Make sure to remove any oozed material from the nozzle before continuing the print. Some scarring on the print is to be expected as a result of this.
