NPM has deprecated classic authentication tokens, and ours expires in February. Our GitHub-based publication for Nerest depends on it. The new granular tokens are valid for no more than 90 days, meaning they have to be constantly recreated, which is inconvenient.
NPM introduced Trusted Publishing, which allows runners from specific providers (such as GitHub Workflows) to authenticate and publish certain packages using a mechanism separate from tokens.
