Once you access the Releases page, follow these steps:
- Select the most recent version listed.
- Look for the installer file suitable for your operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux).
- Click the download link for that file.
To run voicedoc-agent smoothly, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS Mojave or later, or any recent version of Linux.
- RAM: At least 4 GB of RAM.
- Storage: Minimum of 200 MB of free disk space.
- Internet Connection: Required for initial setup and updates.
- Voice Recognition: Converts text documents into spoken words using advanced speech-to-text technology.
- Natural Voice Output: Provides a human-like voice experience using ElevenLabs text-to-speech technology.

After downloading the installer file, follow these steps to install voicedoc-agent:
- Locate the Installer: Find the downloaded installer file in your Downloads folder.
- Run the Installer:
- For Windows, double-click on the
.exefile. - For Mac, open the
.dmgfile and drag the application to your Applications folder. - For Linux, open your terminal and run
chmod +x voicedoc-agentfollowed by./voicedoc-agent.
- For Windows, double-click on the
- Follow the Installation Wizard: Click through the wizard. Accept the license agreement and select the installation location.
- Complete Installation: Click on the finish button once the installation completes.
Using the application is straightforward. Here’s how:
- Open voicedoc-agent: Launch the application from your Applications menu or desktop shortcut.
- Upload Document: Click on “Upload Document” and select the text file you want to convert into speech. Supported formats include .txt, .docx, and .pdf.
- Choose Voice Options: Select the voice and speed settings based on your preference.
- Start Conversion: Click on "Convert" to transform your document into speech. Once complete, you can listen to the audio or save it as a file.
