The Ecosystem

My work lives at the intersection of computational auditory neuroscience, computational linguistics, and neuro/psycholinguistics. I'm fascinated by how the brain processes sound and meaning—investigating everything from olivocochlear efferent systems to neural architectures that parse linguistic structure.

Latin, Ancient Greek, and Linear B decipherment are deep passions I explore computationally. I'm drawn to the structures of ancient languages, from Homeric verse to the evolution of Indo-European roots.

"When I'm not training something (brains or models), I'm reading, swimming, cooking, or disappearing somewhere I shouldn't — with boots on and questionable judgment."
