This project explores the concept of combining a high-performance gaming GPU (such as AMD RX 9070 XT or RX 7800 XT) with a dedicated AI accelerator GPU (like Nvidia Tesla or Ada architecture GPUs) to enable real-time AI-powered upscaling and image enhancement in gaming and graphics rendering.
The goal is to leverage the strengths of both hardware components:
- The gaming GPU handles raw rendering at lower or native resolutions with high FPS performance.
- The AI accelerator processes and upscales these frames using advanced neural networks, delivering sharper, higher-resolution output with improved visual fidelity.
This hybrid approach aims to surpass the performance and visual quality of single high-end GPUs by efficiently distributing workloads between hardware specialized for rasterization and AI computation.
- Dual GPU integration for rendering and AI upscaling
- High-speed PCIe data exchange between GPUs
- Potential for better FPS and sharper visuals compared to traditional GPUs alone
- Exploration of hardware and software synergies for next-gen gaming experiences
This repository currently focuses on the conceptual framework and discussions. Implementation details, code samples, and benchmarks will be added as the project progresses.
Contributions and discussions are welcome!
If you’re interested in GPU architectures, AI upscaling, or performance optimization, feel free to join the conversation and contribute ideas, code, or experiments.
