Can't transition from PRE-OP to SAFE-OP (Timeout) with PS2001-2410-1001

As discussed on the Matrix forum, I’m encountering an issue with the PS2001 power supply. When connected to the EK1100, the system fails to transition from PRE-OP to SAFE-OP (resulting in a timeout).

Environment

• Version of ethercrab in use : 0.6.0
• Operating system kind : Linux Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS
• EtherCAT devices in use: EK1100, EL3174, EL1018, PS2001-2410-1001

The same issue also occurs with the EL6614.
Attached are additional logs and captures for the EL6614 (without the PS2001).

Maybe i need to send some cyclic data before going into OP like in the the dc.rs example ?

I have experienced the symptoms your Wireshark capture shows, and sending cyclic data solved it.

Failing that, maybe try using the main branch. There's been a fair few improvements since the last release.

I tried replacing group.into_op() with the following code in Ethercrab 0.6.0 (assuming this is the correct way to "send cyclic data"):

Unfortunately, this does not resolve the PRE-OP -> SAFE-OP timeout. I also tested this with the main branch (both with and without sending cyclic data) and I am still encountering the timeout during the state transition.
