Use Tiny Swords reticule cursor, with the corresponding hotspot.
When aiming with the grappling hook, set the mouse shape to cross. And set it back to arrow for all other modes. #1751

Trying to record this I found that the "Movie Maker" solution doesn't record the mouse. So I used GNOME Shell screen recording instead.
