Jam Packed! A Roller Derby Game for the GBA

Jam Packed is a roller derby sports game for the GBA. You play as a jammer, fighting against a tripod for six jams, while your teammates (another tripod) are trying to stop an opposing jammer and help you win.

Each jam is 30 seconds, so you have 3 total minutes to win.

Controls/Navigation

Use the D-PAD to maneuver the RED jammer around the track. You must pass the BLUE tripod to score.

There is a special move available. You will be prompted on the screen when you are in the correct position, and the game will freeze until you proceed.

  • B Button: WHIP - use your team's tripod to get a speed boost to help pass the opposing tripod!

    • Your team's tripod must be within range AND there must be enough room on the track for you to pass

State Machine

  • MENU/SPLASH STATE

    • START: GAME State

    • SELECT: INSTRUCTIONS state

  • INSTRUCTIONS STATE

    • RIGHT D-PAD: Navigate through instructional "slides"

    • START: GAME State

  • GAME STATE

    • SELECT: PAUSE
  • PAUSE STATE

    • START: MENU State

    • SELECT: Back to GAME

  • TRANSITION STATE

    • A BUTTON: Go to next jam (or WIN/LOSE STATE if at jam 6)
  • WIN/LOSE STATE

    • START: Return to MENU state
