Welcome to My Pokémon Cards Project

While i've been studying javaScript and learning about API's, more specifically using fetchAPI. I came across a really cool video by James Quick on Youtube where he used the pokémon API to create a pokédex, and being a massive fan of the franchise i thought this would be a really fun way to learn working with API's.

So i decided to create a mini project where you can press a button to bring up a random pokémon from all the ones available within the API, or if you prefer you can instead specifically search for all your favourite pokémon with just a click of a button, while being able to see alot of awesome informartion about them, including their stats, moveset, abilities and more.

Project Update

The project received a major overhaul, as i decided i want to write the whole project from scratch. The reason for this was to get an even better understanding of working with API's and to create something that i feel is alot better than what i had originally created. This means that i wrote the entire code from scratch for better readibility and performance, along with improved page speeds.

While i was working on the update, i also decided that i was going to completely overhaul the design. I added a whole range of backgrounds to match the pokemon types, along with a complete redesign of the Pokémon cards, with new updated high quality artwork, shiny toggle, improved progress bar design and so much more.

Credits

Wanted to say thankyou to the Pokéball wallpaper creator s1ef, along with the shiny icon created by meaicon, and the Pokéball spinner from WikiMediaCommons and last but not least, thankyou to the deviant artist ericfans2003 for their depiction of Eevee.

Feedback

If anyone has any feedback i would greatly appreciate it, as i'm currently learning web development and if anybody has any constructive notes for me to improve upon, that would be great! For anyone that checks it out i hope you enjoyed browsing it as much as i enjoyed building it.
