Recently, I discovered that LQworld (a studio with 610,000 subscribers on NetEase’s Minecraft platform) modified and republished this project without authorization, added monetization/pay-to-win systems (e.g., inscriptions, cumulative top-up rankings), and tampered with the author attribution.
Their modified release is titled “铭文起床战争 [联机大厅]” (“Inscriptions Bedwars [Online Lobby]”) and is commercially sold on the NetEase Minecraft platform.
This project is open-sourced under the MIT License, which allows modification and commercial use, provided the following conditions are met:
- The original author attribution must be retained.
- The full MIT license text must be included.
However, LQworld / 浪柒99 did not comply with the MIT license:
- Altered the original author information, mentioning the author only in “Special Thanks” rather than providing proper attribution.
- Did not include the MIT license text, violating the attribution clause of the license.
- Misled users into believing the work was independently created by LQworld.
- Original (Open-Source) Releases
- Unauthorized Modified Release
Although time has passed, I produced a full documentary detailing the open-source dispute and the subsequent online harassment, unpacking the timeline, logic, and broader issues in the internet ecosystem.

Incident summary:
- 2022–2025: I continuously developed and open-sourced the map/game mode, maintaining both the International and China editions in parallel.
- 2025-03: I discovered a third party (LQworld / 浪柒99) had released a derivative version without preserving the MIT license text as required.
- 2025-03-21 & 2025-04-11: I published two videos explaining the compliance issues.
- 2025-04-16: The platform confirmed a violation and required takedown and remediation; the other party then added the license text and relisted.
For the full context and deeper analysis, please watch the video.
The actions of LQworld Studio seriously harm the Minecraft developer community. The purpose of open source is to foster sharing and collaboration—not to erase original authors’ names and profit in violation of the license.
If you support fair competition and respect for open-source principles:
- Do not support pirated or infringing content.
- Share this information so more people are aware of what happened.
This project will remain open source, but I hope all developers comply with open-source licenses and respect original authors, so we can maintain a healthy developer ecosystem together.
