I think this extra visual helps to clarify which direction wrapping / encoding / decoding work.

I wasn't exactly sure where to put this. Maybe a new 'Usage' page (from #73 ) would be better, since at the current location ("C++" > "Protocol") it's a little buried in technical specifics.
