Welcome to the oltp-simulator! This application helps you create realistic Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) data. It is useful for testing Change Data Capture (CDC) with Debezium. You don’t need any programming skills to use this simulator.
To run the oltp-simulator, you will need:
- A computer with Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- At least 4 GB of RAM.
- An internet connection for downloading the application.
- Visit the Releases page to download the application.
- On the Releases page, look for the latest version.
- Click on the download link for your operating system.
- Once downloaded, find the file in your Downloads folder.
- Double-click on the file to start the installation process.
- Launch the oltp-simulator program after installation.
- You will see a simple interface with options to create data simulations.
- Choose your preferred settings for data generation:
- Set the number of records.
- Select the data types (e.g., text, numbers).
- Configure any specific parameters you need based on your CDC testing.
- Click the "Start Simulation" button to begin generating data.
