Project Objective

The Rupashree Store wants to create an annual sales report for 2023. So that, the owner of the Rupashree Store can understand their customers and grow more sales in 2024.

  1. Understanding Business Problem: Addressing Vrinda Store's need for a comprehensive understanding of its sales performance and customer demographics.
  2. Data Cleaning: Ensuring accuracy and consistency by cleaning and preprocessing raw sales data.
  3. Data Processing: Analyzing processed data to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations.
  4. Data Analysis: Employing various analytical techniques to derive insights and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Data Visualization: Representing insights visually using charts, graphs, and dashboards for easy interpretation.
  6. Insights or Results: The project culminated in the creation of an interactive dashboard showcasing key metrics and actionable insights.

🔍 Gender Distribution: Created a visualization of sales by gender, revealing a significant trend: women are more likely to make purchases compared to men.

📦 Order Status Classification: Categorized orders into Delivered, Refunded, Returned, and Cancelled, highlighting fulfilment efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.

📈 Top Performing States: Identified Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh as the top states driving sales, informing targeted marketing strategies.

👥 Demographic Insights: Discovered that adults aged 30-40 contribute the most to sales, offering a clear understanding of customer behaviour and preferences.

🛒 Platform Performance Analysis: Analysed performance metrics of Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra, revealing these as the top contributing e-Commerce channels.

🔄 Interactive Slicers: Implemented slicers for months, product categories, and e-Commerce platforms, enabling real-time data segmentation and exploration.

Conclusion & Recommendations

To improve Rupashree Store's sales:

  • Target Men customers of the age group (30-60 Yrs) that is Adults living in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh etc. by showing ads , offers , coupons available on Amazon , Flipkart and Myntra and adding more Creative , Colourful , Fashionable , simple & sustainable inventory for Men’s Fashion.
  • Target Women customers of the age group (30-60 Yrs) that is Adults living all states apart from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh etc. by showing ads , offers , coupons available on Amazon , Flipkart and Myntra and adding more Creative , Colourful , Fashionable , simple & sustainable inventory for Women’s Fashion..
