My name is Harvey Donnelly.

π I am a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. My PhD is funded by the Centre for Doctoral Training in Designing Responsible Natural Language Processing. I am also affiliated with the Institute for Language, Cognition and Computation (ILCC). Previously I completed a BSc (Hons.) at the University of Toronto in Computer Science & Cognitive Science.

π± My current research interests concentrate on developing machine learning techniques and computational models to explain cognition in both humans and machines. I am particularly interested in understanding shared representations between vision and language, how these are shaped by optimising for multiple task objectives and how emergent representations can be comparatively analysed between the brain and large vision-language models (LVLMs).
