How to integrate Screencap data with Claude Desktop or Cursor?

Question

I'm interested in using Screencap to record and analyze my screen activities, and I'd like to know how I can leverage the collected data with other AI tools.

Context

Screencap captures screen recordings and uses LLM to analyze and summarize what tasks I've performed. This creates valuable contextual data about my work activities.

What I'm looking for

I couldn't find documentation in the README about how to:

1. Export or access the recorded/analyzed data in a format that can be used by other tools
2. Integrate with Claude Desktop - Can the activity logs be used as context for Claude conversations?
3. Integrate with Cursor - Is there a way to connect Screencap data to Cursor (e.g., via MCP or other means)?

Specific Questions

• Does Screencap provide an API or data export functionality?
• Is there an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server available or planned for Screencap?
• What's the recommended approach to use the analyzed activity data as context in other LLM applications?

Any guidance or documentation pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @hmmhmmhm , appreciate this proposal, sounds like a /great/ feature to have. To make it clear, nothing from above is implemented now, but this is definitely something we'd want to have. Makes sense to separate the export API with MCP features tho, let me know if you'd like to contribute a PR (and need any help), or I'll try my best to take some time within ~10 days to handle it

whoa i just checked it and works incredibly well!, it would be awesome if this mcp integration method could also be made discoverable from the program’s settings page. thank you for creating such a great program!
