We are getting this request more often. We have a plan in place, but it helps to explain various moving parts.
The following is generic and could be put in an intro page or a macro, with some refinement and careful wording. Especially better wording for "paid relationship".
- Who is authorized to gain access to RC systems?
- People with paid relationships with UAB who have primary affiliations of "Staff" and "Faculty"
- Primary affiliation of "Student"
- Who may not be authorized?
- Primary affiliation of "Volunteer"
- Only affiliation is "Faculty" and title of adjunct faculty, not receiving pay.

- How do I know if I am authorized?
- Have an account? Log in to rc.uab.edu and see "Account Unauthorized" page.
- No account? Attempt to create one and receive an error.
If a paid relationship with UAB is not reasonable, then you will need to create a XIAS account. Cross-reference XIAS account section.
We can assist with transfer of any data from individual storage allocations for an existing account.
