Using ssh ubuntu@[IP] address will lead to successful connection of the PC to the turtlebot 4

Actual behaviour

Currently we are having difficulties in setting up the TurtleBot 4. I've successfully configured the WiFi connection on the TurtleBot 4 to my university's wifi by ssh-ing into the rpi using an ethernet connection. I've connected my computer to the same wifi but when I run the ssh ubuntu@[IP] address command in my ubuntu terminal, it times out (the exact line is: ssh: connect to host [IP] port 22: Connection timed out.) I've verified that this is the correct IP address using the ping command and have received signals back. This is also the same IP address that is displayed on the Turtlebot 4's screen. I've successfully ssh-ed into a different raspberry pi on the same network, so I do not think it is a network issue.

What do I do from here to ssh into the TurtleBot4 over wifi? Thanks for the help!

Based on the details provided I have the following recommendations regarding the Turtlebot:

• For clarity, what kind of network is the university wi-fi? Is it a standard network with SSID and password protection? Is it WPA2 or WPA3?
• If possible, using the ethernet SSH connection, connect the Turtlebot to mobile hotspot temporarily. With this setup, see if SSH'ing over wi-fi is possible, this will help determine if the issue lies with the network manager of the Raspberry Pi.
• Check if there are any obstructions over the wi-fi card of Raspberry Pi - https://turtlebot.github.io/turtlebot4-user-manual/troubleshooting/faq.html#check-for-obstructions
• How are IP addresses handled by your university network? Is there a chance that two seperate devices are attempting to lease the same IP address? Out of curiosity, what is the wireless IP address the Raspberry Pi reports, and what is the wireless IP address reported by your computer?
• One last item that may be worth double checking is the wi-fi settings on the Turtlebot itself, double check that there are no errant typos in the SSID and password.

When I tried to connect to a hotspot by my laptop it said that the wifi does not have the right security as other people on the network can access other devices, so I was not able to even connect the Pi to that hotspot service. - Check if there are any obstructions over the wi-fi card of Raspberry Pi - https://turtlebot.github.io/turtlebot4-user-manual/troubleshooting/faq.html#check-for-obstructions 1. I've ensured there are no obstructions. - How are IP addresses handled by your university network? Is there a chance that two seperate devices are attempting to lease the same IP address? The IP address on the Turtlebot is 10.103.205.58. - One last item that may be worth double checking is the wi-fi settings on the Turtlebot itself, double check that there are no errant typos in the SSID and password. 1.
