Robot Stuck in Storage Mode

Currently, none. I can't get into the raspi as the robot is stuck in storage mode.

Expected behaviour

Turtlebot4 should exit storage mode when placed on the charging dock.

Actual behaviour

Turtlebot4 is stuck in storage mode. I cannot get it out. I have tried the following:

• Putting the robot on the dock
• Reflashing the raspi
• Updating create3 firmware
• Rebooting create3
• Taking out battery and putting back in
• Taking robot off dock and turning on
• Leaving robot on charger

Error messages

To Reproduce

Put a robot in storage mode. Not sure how to reproduce it's inability to come out of it.

Thank you for reaching out on the Turtlebot 4 Github page. I am very sorry to hear that your Turtlebot is not meeting expectations.

I have the following questions/recommendations regarding your unit:

• When the robot is initially placed on the dock, does the Create3 come on, and eventually play it's start up chime?
• Are you able to access the Raspberry Pi? If the Create3 is able to turn on, it should be also turning on the Raspberry Pi. You may also check the power distribution board on the Create 3. To access this board, open the rear draw of the Create3:

• Check that the USB-C cable is fully inserted and that the mode select switch is set to the USB side:

• It the Create3 does not turn on when placed on the dock, probe the dock and verify the voltage being output:

Thanks for the response!

The create3 does turn on and chimes, and shows a white charging light. The raspi briefly powers, but then turns off. The toggle is to the USB-C side as well. In the past, I have solved this with reflashing the raspi, but despite several tries, it has not worked this time.

Based on what I can see in AP mode on the create3, I am now thinking the battery might be completely dead and unable to hold enough charge to power the raspi beyond the initial attachment to the charger. Unless you know of any other potential issues, I will just buy some new batteries and hope they work.
