Description
IRIS Frontier Bridge (S9: Connection)
Novelty is a routing problem, not a credibility problem.
π Announcing the Frontier Network
IRIS Gate v0.7.0 introduces the Frontier Bridge - a system that routes TYPE 2/BRONZE claims to the 3% of researchers who can actually test them.
The Problem:
- AI can verify claims against published literature (the 97%)
- But only 3% of frontier research is published at any time
- Novel claims get labeled BRONZE ("needs validation") and stop there
The Solution:
- Treat novelty as a routing problem, not a credibility problem
- Package TYPE 2 claims as Mystery Cards
- Match cards to opt-in researchers via tags
- Collaborative validation β BRONZE β SILVER β GOLD

π First Mystery Card: IRD-2025-0001
Card ID: IRD-2025-0001
Title: CBDβVDAC1 binding is crisis-only under ΞΞ¨m collapse
Status: BRONZE (seeking 3-5 validators)
Domain: Pharmacology, Mitochondrial Biology, Bioelectricity
The Claim
CBD engagement with VDAC1 (voltage-dependent anion channel) appears conditional on mitochondrial stress (ΞΞ¨m collapse, ROS surge) and high-dose CBD pulse (β₯10 ΞΌM, 5-15 min).
Why This Matters:
- Resolves conflicting literature on CBD neuroprotection vs cytotoxicity
- Explains why in vitro CBD effects often fail to replicate (stress conditions not controlled)
- Opens therapeutic window: pulse CBD during acute crisis, not chronic dosing
- Connects bioelectric signaling to pharmacological intervention

π¬ Requested Micro-Protocols (Pick 1-2)
-
Mitostress Pulse Assay
- Seahorse XF or JC-1 dye with CBD dose-response (1, 5, 10, 20 ΞΌM)
- Tests: Does CBD rescue ΞΞ¨m under oligomycin/CCCP stress?
-
VDAC1 Inhibitor Ablation
- Repeat π Frontier Network Launch: IRD-2025-0001 (CBD-VDAC1) β Seeking 3-5 ValidatorsΒ #1 with DIDS (VDAC1 inhibitor, 50-100 ΞΌM)
- Tests: Does blocking VDAC1 eliminate CBD rescue effect?
-
Temporal Window Validation
- Time-course: 1-min, 5-min, 15-min, 30-min, 60-min CBD pulses
- Tests: Is there an optimal pulse duration (5-15 min claim)?
-
Calcium Flux Imaging
- Fluo-4 or GCaMP to detect VDAC1-mediated CaΒ²βΊ flux
- Tests: Does CBD pulse alter CaΒ²βΊ dynamics via VDAC1?
-
VDAC1 Oligomerization State
- Western blot before/after CBD pulse
- Tests: Does CBD induce VDAC1 oligomerization (gating mechanism)?
Commitment: 1-2 experiments, 1-3 weeks timeline
Cost: ~$300-800 per experiment
Output: Preliminary data β appended to card β co-authorship
β Falsification Tests
- If VDAC1 gating increases at CBD <5 ΞΌM without stress β claim wrong
- If DIDS has no effect on rescue/death outcome β mechanism wrong
- If 1-min pulse equals 15-min pulse outcome β temporal window claim wrong
- If CBD effects persist in VDAC1 knockout cells β VDAC1 not the target
We want falsifiable claims. Contradicting data is a valid result.

πβ β‘β The Vision
This is how AI and humanity can co-create new math and physics.
Not by AI replacing researchers.
Not by AI just verifying the past.
By AI routing novelty to the 3% who can test it.
The frontier is not a place. It's a network of minds exploring the membrane between known and unknown.
IRIS Gate now connects them.
