Docs (for 'latest') out of date? No ~/Sync directory created on first run

I have just downloaded Syncthing release 2.0.15 (amd64), and it seems that no ~/Sync dir gets created on first run. The documentation for 'latest' (https://docs.syncthing.net/intro/getting-started.html#syncthing) mentions that syncthing will set up a Default Folder.

My conclusion is that either there is a bug in syncthing, or there is a 'bug' in the documentation.

The 'bug' is in the docs, as
https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases/tag/v2.0.15 says:

A "default folder" is no longer created on first startup.

which has been the case since 2.0.0
