Full example - how to read data.

It would be nice to have a full example explaining how to deal with attributes, how to get all attributes data for each requirement, how to extract the hierarchy level of each requirement, how to extract non inline64 images (in case of reqifz) and how to link such images with the relevant requirement. Thanks in advance.

It is not as rich with examples like it could be but I am working on it slowly.

Hi stanislaw, yes I read example 02 and 03. However, it does not help a lot. The workaround I used is to use the reqif to json conversion. JSON is easy to parse with python. However it does not solve the images concern. Best regards.

Let's make all this more specific and handle it case-by-case.

Could you describe in detail which kind of an example you would like to see? When it comes to images, please provide a ReqIF that has images in it and describe how you would like it to be handled.

My understanding is that it is not easy to create a fully Universal example that can handle everything. Instead, it is rather about having a selection of examples that deal with specific tools, formats or user projects.

Note that this library was originally intended to only serve as a low-level ReqIF backend layer for its parent StrictDoc project: https://github.com/strictdoc-project/strictdoc/tree/main/strictdoc/backend/reqif. With SDoc, it is pretty clear that the conversion is between ReqIF and SDoc and the export-import roundtrip is constantly improved. After some time, the reqif library has become a separate repository with some examples. Now to improve them further, I need detailed input from the users who want more of reqif.

For your use case, you should provide more details of whereto and where from you convert ReqIF.

Imagine you have a python list of dictionnaries.
Each dictionary contains attributes. Attributes format is string or xhtml.
How do you create a reqif file with such attributes ?

And vice versa, how do you create such a dictionnary from a reqif file?
