[FEATURE] Extend strands to support swarm

Problem Statement

Strands are good at creating agents. Maybe we can extend strands to support agent swarm, where sub-agent will be dynamically spined up, each with its tasks, and can execute in parallel. Similar to what Kimi k2.5 blog describes: https://www.kimi.com/blog/kimi-k2-5.html

Definitely helpful, what I am trying to build is one level up which maybe called dynamic swarm ( see: Kimi k2.5 blog).

Two keys differences:

• Swarm is automatically created and orchestrated by orchestration agent (main agent) without any predefined subagents or workflow.
• Sub agents work in parallel instead of sequential.

My goal is to train the orchestration agent so it knows how to complete a task better (lower cost, quicker) by dynamically creating and operating swarm. For now, I unblocked myself by creating a separate package built on top of graph.

Is this a feature we want to up level to strands-agent as well?

It looks like your DynamicSwarm:

1. Takes in a list of tools that sub-agents could use
2. Enables the orchestrator agent to spin up agents on the fly
3. Swap/decide which models to use on the fly

Any other features that I'm missing?

There is the swarm tool which might be closer to what you're asking for: https://github.com/strands-agents/tools/blob/main/src/strands_tools/swarm.py though I could see up-leveling some of this into Strands itself.

Specifically (1) and (2) would be interesting additions; (3) as a standalone feature would also be interesting.

Another big difference is that sub-agents in kimi k2.5's definition run in parallel.

In contrast, the swarm implementation for both strands and openai use handoff mechanism, so only one agent will be working at a given time.
