[REQUEST] Audio File support

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In the same way that images are shown in a gallery, it would be good to be able to listen to audio files, and move through them with the arrow keys. At the moment clicking an mp3 file simply opens the file in the browser.

Describe the solution you'd like
When clicking an mp3 (or other browser-supported audio file) the audio should begin playing. Somewhere on the page a play and pause button should appear. A scrubber would also be a nice to have.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I suppose clicking on an audio file could open the built-in player in a iframe?

Are you thinking of something similar to the gallery, just a separate one for audio files? A small controller at the bottom of the page, where one can seek, adjust volume and navigate to the next potential (or previous) audio file, triggered by a click on any audio file? If so, I like that idea.

I'm really busy at the moment, but I think this sounds interesting, and I wouldn't mind experimenting a bit with it once I have the time.

Yes, that's exactly what I have in mind. If I share music files it would be nice to allow the recipient to preview them, or just have them play as a playlist. Nothing too fancy.
Last time I played around with audio, I was able to do all the basics with plain vanilla javascript and html tags, so I can't imagine it would be too difficult.
