power offset

Sorry to ask here, but it's not clear to me if the offset it working the same for power export and import from grid (+/-)?

Hi, a late reply, but I was busy the last week:

Yes, the offset is working in both cases (import/export to/from grid) exactly the same. The offset is always applied in the following way:

output-value = input-value + offset.

were negative input-values mean an export to the grid and positve values an import from the grid.

So if you configure for instance a offset value of +10W, the storage will try to bring that virtual output value to 0, which leads to a permanent real export of 10W.

I am setting the offset dynamically depending if I am in charge or discharge mode. I use the following enum in my code which might help for understanding:

    NoChange = 0,
    AvoidFeedIntoGrid = -20,  // avoid discharge battery energy into grid (usually at night)
    AvoidPullFromGrid = 20  // avoid charge battery from grid
};
