Might Polytope be a useful drop-in replacement for some spatial and temporal selections?

Hi folks,

I saw that ECMWF have developed this:

It might be a useful package to watch in terms of managing complex subsetting to complex shapes.

I've been keeping tabs on rioxarray for quite some time. Except for one or two features (namely, the longitude-wrapping), it might also be a viable drop-in for some functions. Worth looking into both.
