 date timestamp format

The 3 field date picker sends the date timestamp in the format 1977-06-01T22:00:00.000Z  ,  The date timestamp should send in  format yyyy-MM-dd, or in this case, 1977-06-01 .  
In schema i have added  "format":"yyyy-MM-dd", still not works , where we need to change format?
