tool buttons change position

What is the current behaviour?

tool buttons "move up" when changing slices until they reach their final position. It seems the navigation window is initialised with too large height value (which then shrinks...)

What is the expected or desired behavior?

buttons should appear in place.

Hmm, I have been thinking of reformatting the sidebar and use grid and flex-box. They seem to have pretty good adoption rate amongst browsers.

Wait a bit! We wanted to import the tool style from brainbox (which uses flex). I'll try to get that implemented asap.
