Make compositional loaders that integrate with sites-shared

Realistically, the loaders here should be re-written to use the shared ones declared in sites-shared.

The loaders here are pretty full-on, especially the GIF handling stuff.

We've got a working site as is at the moment, so I'm leaving this as low priority / may never happen for now.
