The easiest to learn to create a theme is grab something like the default theme and learn how to build and modify. Then start experimenting. It's really not the complex. |

Bless you for this work. 🙇♂️ The current design ethos doesn't work for those of us whose eyes are merely old, let alone for people with severely limited vision. I would strongly suggest more and stronger (but not garish) colors and plenty of contrast. For example, those fashionable white dialogues with pale grey borders appearing on white backgrounds are practically invisible, as are those popular black dialogues with dark charcoal borders against black backgrounds. For mercy's sake, at least put a contrasting border in there! And if you can do something to make the cursor stand out, that, too, would be helpful. Even with a large, oxy-red cursor, I still keep losing track of the dratted thing. Those of us whose eyes are no longer 23 will bless you. |

I should have mentioned that I am using a twenty-seven inch high resolution monitor. The pictures look much better on that than posted here. |

I am starting a project to create a desktop environment for people with severely limited vision , by adapting Linux mint cinnamon. I have managed to create some useful colour themes with 00max. However there are a few bugs as it is not up to date with Zara. AS I am very new to coding in Linux. Is there a guide to creating a theme with Cinnamon spices?
Also , once I have several themes I need to develop a very simple way for partially sighted people to choose a theme. Once completed it would be a mint os specifically for the almost blind. There is technology out there already and I have tried lots of it. But I can tell you it often falls short of the mark! Also a lot of it is very expensive. Ideally a menu integrated into the system allowing to make basic colour choices for fonts and system menu backgrounds would be best.
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
