I'm running a monorepo - vue.js frontend, .net backend, terraform for infra, and this is such an upgrade!

If you combine this with parallel tasks... mind = blown. I feel like I just unlocked CCs true potential for the first time and I've been a 5x max user for over 2 months!

c# via omnisharp working flawlessly.

hcl and tf works (surprisingly well) - module analysis, infrastructure dependencies, etc.

Only 2-3 days in, but thus far it seems to reduce context/tokens used for the same task significantly.

Just Claude Code and Serena setup as an MCP server.

I was honestly feeling lazy so I didn't do the setup claude did! I just said -

"https://github.com/oraios/serena/ clone this repo, set it up on this instance, install it, verify it, instruct on its tool usages in parallel tasks on the claude.md.

However, I run claude code in yolo mode on a virtual machine...

Thanks for the review @ThomasEGoyette , glad you like it! Augmenting the efficacy of existing tools is exactly the primary goal of Serena. Right now most of the benefits you're seeing is probably just from the C# symbolic tools, since at the moment Serena doesn't support multi-language projects and has no specialized tools for hcl. But once we make these extensions (already planned, see our roadmap), it should become even more useful.

We are working on quantifying how useful it is within Claude Code (comparing vanilla token cost vs with Serena token cost), hopefully we'll get first numbers within the next weeks

Surprising to hear 'multi-language projects' aren't supported as adding in Serena to my VM and the claude.md has seemingly really helped straighten out Claude on my monorepo setup.

I let claude code call serena when searching for files.

To be fair I have this combined with a custom openMemory graph of my entire codebase - frontend + backend.

I had to hack at things a bit to get omnisharp working with csharp

are you still using serenas memory, or did you substitute with openmemory?
