Random email addresses being flagged as spam

Issue raised by a councillor saying WriteToThem messages were blocked as spam by their IT system because of the use of source addresses made of random characters.

Obviously we do this for uniqueness, but just starting a ticket to capture similar stuff.

Context from original email:

As a councillor emails sent using your system are blocked as Spam by Microsoft. This seems to be because of the use of source addresses made of random characters. I have raised this with our IT department and been told the following:

"The email in question has been quarantined because the sender's address appears suspicious and may be indicative of a phishing attempt. If you were expecting this message and recognize the sender, you may choose to release it. However, if the message is unexpected, we strongly advise against releasing it due to the potential security risk."

I think your organisation needs to have a conversation with major email processing entities, like Microsoft, to find a resolution, otherwise councillors like myself cannot guarantee getting correspondence sent via your service.
