Corrupted Settings File seems to have broken the module

Describe the bug
None of the features of the Spell Points item are working for me as of the latest updates.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a foundry world with this module enabled
2. Attempt to make a new spellcaster
3. Drag spell points item onto PC
4. No spell point functionality added

Expected behavior
I expected to see the spell point functionality settle in on the character when I drag the Spell Points item into the character sheet.

Thx for the detailed report, but I can't reproduce the issue. The console error you are reporting is not due to this module.

Did you tried to cast a spell? does it uses slots or spellpoints?

If you want to see the spellpoints bar you need to enable it in the module settings.

I did and it used Slots only. No choice to use points. And yes, I hit the checkbox to show the bar on the character sheet.

Other things to mention is that at no point am I given the option to edit the spell points object at any stage, where I used to be able to before. In addition, I tried using the console command to grab the spell point item from the test actor and it's saying there is no actor. "undefined" it says.

Best I can guess is that it's somehow not latching on properly to the actor sheet and running any of the code...at all. So it's just a dummy item in the sheet, basically. Or maybe the item card is just completely broken, seeing as how it's not letting me edit anything at all in the spell point settings for the item.

Okay, so after resetting the settings inside of Advanced Magic, everything started to work again. It seems that it's actually extremely doable to cause the settings file to get corrupted and break the entire module to the point of not working.

mmm. don't know what you mean with setting file. settings are stored in the world or in the spellpoint item itself if the item is overriding the global.

The settings going into the world. I set the formula to custom, I believe, and tried to put in a custom formula in there. It remained broken and nonfuctional even if I set the formula back to DMG. And it also broke the spell points item and removed the ability to customize it, so somehow it completely rendered the module nonfunctional until the defaults were restored.

Nice thx for sharing that. Do you have the formula maybe? was anything wrong with it.

I definitely need to add some kind of safety checkand a warning if there is something wrong with the user entered formula.

The formula was to add several scale values that may or may not be on the actor to determine the actor's maximum magicka. Now, I learned that I had forgotten a plus sign somewhere in the formula. Perhaps that was the culprit.

I'm going to add more strict checks on the user entered formulas to avoid bad entered strings to stop the module from working, or at least show a message to the user.
