The setup is perfect. Unfortunately, something is blocking the ability of the tool to screen capture.

I've seen this happen very rarely with other people (you're the 3rd) and have no fix for this.

It's something about laptops with integrated graphics and a dedicated one (or lack thereof). What are the specs of this machine? CPU and GPU?

One person who had this problem connected his laptop to an external monitor, and changed that monitor as his main display and it worked.

Yes, I'm using laptop. I'm not good at detecting a PC spec so according to these images here, probably it's CPU.
That's bad if something actually blocks the tool. I'll try figure it out and tell you if I have something new. Thanks a lot anyway.

I would suggest updating both the integrated gpu driver and the dedicated GPU driver.

The apparent fix for was to update to WDDM 2.7 (you have 2.1), but it's not supported with your CPU anymore. https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/Add-Support-for-WDDM-2-7-on-6th-Generation-Processors/m-p/648179

Hopefully, that post above is outdated and a driver update will fix it.
Also, the fix I mentioned above where connecting an external monitor and setting that as a main display might work.

I had the same problem. Updating the drivers did not bring results. Connecting a second monitor helped.

Unfortunately, I don't have a second monitor to test. But I did try the tool at some other PCs and they all worked. Probably using another monitor for laptop is the way to fix, just like Charlie1711 mentioned.
