Multiple indi_v4l2_ccd devices active on the same host?

I'm trying to get multiple v4l2_ccd (two or more) devices functional on the one host at the same time - Is this supported? From what i can tell, the XML configuration file is tied to the driver name, so any attempt to use multiple devices and save the configurations ends with inconsistent results

You can create an alias in the XML (just duplicate the entry and change label) then you can have as many instances as you want.

Thanks for the response - Do you mean within V4L2 CCD_config.xml, or drivers.xml?

drivers.xml, you can already see inside we are using aliases to different labels:

        <device label="iOptron iPolar" manufacturer="iOptron">
            <driver name="V4L2 CCD">indi_v4l2_ccd</driver>

        </device>

You can also add your own mycamera.xml in /usr/share/indi with the following:

<device label="My Camera" manufacturer="Foo Bar">
            <driver name="V4L2 CCD">indi_v4l2_ccd</driver>
            <version>1.0</version>
</device>
</devGroup>

Thanks - I've added a few camera descriptions, and sensor size specifications in my local copy (ELP USB4K03-MFV with an IMX415 and a SV105C with IMX307 ) , but where I'm encountering issues is accessing the INDI options via kstars or phd2 - I only ever have one V4L2 CCD tab available - The only way I've gotten multiple tabs visible is to run multiple copies of indiserver on different ports, and even then i still encounter the issue where they all load / save the same XML file

Adding the specific USB device identifiers into drivers/video/v4l2driver.cpp and drivers/video/indi_v4l2driver.cpp has enabled this functionality in Kstars / Ekos
