Not let user edit text going to twitter - Would like user to not be able to change this - for consistancy

Add to SHKTwitter.m:

• (BOOL)shouldAutoShare { return YES; }

Note: please be careful about doing this. Your app should not post anything without the user being able to confirm it. You want to avoid surprises.

A better solution would be to modify SHKTwitter.m and have it present a non-editable confirmation dialog showing the text and asking if it is okay to post it.

After some research, I believe I found a decent work-around. Just include the following line of code at the bottom of the (void)viewDidAppear: method in SHKTwitterForm.m.

textView.userInteractionEnabled = NO;

It does not present a confirmation dialog, but it does show the text that will be posted, and the user still needs to press the "Send to Twitter" button, so I assume that counts as avoiding surprises.

I've been getting some more emails about this so I'm reopening the issue as a feature request. Would like to a have a confirmation/non-editable interface for sharing Twitter text.

  But I have always the same result: the intermediate confirmation form is displayed.
  I use simply this 2 lines to send a message:
  SHKItem *item = [SHKItem text:message];
  [SHKTwitter shareItem:item];
  It's always display the confirmation form, what's wrong? can you help me please?
  For information, the method "shouldAutoShare" is called and return TRUE.

Same for me, shouldAutoShare returning YES will still display the form before sending to Twitter.

Hi,
I have a solution not really "super smart" but it's works.

• I have modified the method - (void)showTwitterForm in SHKTwitter.m.
• and added a conditional statement for testing the "shouldAutoShare value".
  
  Now my method looks like this:

- (void)showTwitterForm
  {
  if(![self shouldAutoShare]){ //test autoshare value and send direct without displaying the form if =YES
      SHKTwitterForm *rootView = [[SHKTwitterForm alloc] initWithNibName:nil bundle:nil]; 
      rootView.delegate = self;
  
  ```
  // force view to load so we can set textView text
  [rootView view];
  
  rootView.textView.text = [item customValueForKey:@"status"];
  rootView.hasAttachment = item.image != nil;
  
  [self pushViewController:rootView animated:NO];
  
  [[SHK currentHelper] showViewController:self];

I'm a xcode newbie and might have got it wrong, but I think I have tracked down the issue of twitter autosharing still showing the twitter form.

Problem: setting returnvalue of shouldAutoShare to YES in SHKtwitter.m results in the form still showing up. The reason is that when send in SHKtwitter.m is called, it makes a call to [self validate] and this will return false, because the status is not set yet. The status is not set until show in SHKtwitter.m is called with the line

[item setCustomValue:item.text forKey:@"status"];

If status should be sent without showing the form, this must be done even when the show method is not called, so I put this line of code also as the first line of the method -(void)share in SHKSharer.m, like this:

  //Without this line, the status is nil when doing [self tryToSend] below
  //This seems to work fine for Twitter. Haven't checked if it affects other services in a negative way.

This works for everything but sending pictures to twitter. For some reason it uploads the picture twice and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?
