Check if there is at least one selected item

I want to know is that there is a way to know if there is at least one item to select from my tree, it can be a parent or one of the children

            if (n.selected === true || n.__ivhTreeviewIndeterminate){

So i use this to check for any selected nodes and I want to know about their parents so any parents that have selected children. You have to go through the whole tree but this should help. In theory you could just go through the parent nodes and check to see if n.__ivhTreeviewIndeterminate is true. That only helps if you have a top down structure.
