Cannot Export File for use in SolidWorks

Hi, trying to export the default shortboard model as a step file to edit further in solidworks. When I try to do export>nurbs to step or nurbs to stl the exported file is blank. On other forums, people seem to be doing this relatively seamlessly. Am I missing something? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
