Attribute method not available in jgrowl js file

Hello,
We are upgrading from Tap 5.3.8 to Taps 5.4.3 and also to tap-jquery 4.1.1.
While upgrading, we are getting error in browser console that
Object doesn't support property or method 'attribute' File: jgrowl.js, Line: 24, Column: 9
Looks to be here:
getURL = function(container) { return container.attribute("data-dismiss-url"); };

Can you please have a look here?
