How To Specify Fifo for Top Level Channels?

Hello! I am currently trying to run codegen from this proc (a continuation of this discussion #3736):

However, despite specifying the fifo config using --default_fifo_config, I still get this error at codegen:

$ ir_convert fifo_mvp.x --default_fifo_config="width: 1 depth: 2 bypass: 1 register_push_outputs: 1 register_pop_outputs: 1" --top=example > fifo_mvp.ir
$ opt_main fifo_mvp.ir > fifo_mvp.opt.ir

Error: INVALID_ARGUMENT: Cannot allow multiple operations from proc `__fifo_mvp__example_0_next` on streaming channel `fifo_mvp__payload_type_one_addr`, which has no known FIFO configuration.

Does DSLX support configuring the fifo on top level channels (ones where I cannot specify using the declaration syntax)?
