Android emulator not able to scan or connect to physical devices.

I am trying to connect android emulators to my physical device (Another Android Device).

This is the commands I am using right now:

emulator -packet-streamer-endpoint localhost:8877 -avd Automotive_1080p_landscape 

and

python3 -m bumble.apps.hci_bridge android-netsim:_:8877,mode=controller usb:0

In the emulator when I am trying to pair a device nothing is showing up.

It is showing the right Device id from my external adapter.

I have tried everything from updating the firmware to testing multiple emulator versions.
I am running on Mac OS 15.7.2 if that matters.

Does the USB dongle work with other Bumble apps? Can you try, for example, 'python3 apps/scan.py usb:0' to see if scan results appear (assuming you have at least one BLE device advertising close by). Also, it seems you're using a TP-link dongle, which likely has a Realtek chipset. Most of those require loading new FW at power up, which Bumble will do for you automatically if you have downloaded and saved the Realtek FW files (see the doc on the Bumble Realtek driver for details).
Finally, you can set the environment variable BUMBLE_LOGLEVEL=DEBUG before running the bridge app, so that you can see verbose log output that may give us a hint about what the issue may be)

Yes, when I used the below command:

Along with the above config, the dongle connected to bumble showed up on my physical device as available to connect, and the console was also able to detect all the physical devices around me.

I was in fact able to connect my physical device to the bumble console. It disconnected instantly.

My end goal is to connect an AAOS (Android Automotive Emulator) to my phone and then either sync the call logs or the SMS app. Based on the nature of the project, I can't disclose further information.

Can you try with the latest version of Bumble (from source, we haven't pushed to PyPI yet). It should be more stable with recent versions of the Android emulator.
