Can't use agent skills as of version 0.23.0?

I followed the instructions from here and enabled the experimental feature (why is this still experimental?):

but i cannot use /skills?

You should update to 0.24.0-preview.0

The /skills command is not available in version 0.23.0. You need to update to v0.24.0-preview.0 or later.

Solution:

1. Update Gemini CLI to v0.24.0-preview.0 or newer:
   npm update -g @google/generative-ai-cli

Or if installed differently:
pip install --upgrade google-genai

2. Verify the update:
   geminiacli --version

3. Then try the command again:
   /skills

Why this happens:
Agent skills is a new feature added in v0.24.0-preview.0. Version 0.23.0 doesn't include this command, so it's treated as an unknown command.

Additional Notes:

• Make sure experimental feature is enabled in your config
• Restart your terminal after updating
• Check you're using the correct CLI tool if issue persists

I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working wither. I installed the v0.24.0-preview.0 with this command and now /skills is working!
npm install -g @google/gemini-cli@preview
