Describe the issue

• Claude CLI or as VS Code plugin - works
• Claude inside GitButler "Test connection" works, but when I actually ask it to do anything, or even just "hello" - it's stuck

It would be a killer feature of GitButler (AI Agents hallucinate and require lots of concurrent iterations until thing is ok), but sadly it breaks even before I started.

Thanks a lot for reporting!

Admittedly, that's the first time I see this and it feels a bit as if the backend lost track of what Claude really is doing, but also, I didn't think this was possible.
With that said, could you launch the application from the terminal? That will show logs, and you would also see panics which might be a cause of this. In general, it should be easier to understand what's really going on and maybe we can figure it out from there.

I'm experiencing the same problem as reported above, a colleague has also reported the same.
Unfortunately nothing is jumping out in the logs, claude connection is also showing as OK from within the settings.

Currently running macOS Tahoe 26.1 and GitButler 0.18.3
