Just wanted to report that I was excited to see the systray icon show up when running the demo app. And it is nicely clickable to show the menu. This is on Fedora 41. Just I3 running on X11 in place of a full DE, with i3bar. No gnome etc. I had found some instructions to try snixembed, but that got compilation errors when I had tried with an earlier Fedora.
It's sliightly weird that only right-click works, but I see VLC acting that way too, so not a big deal. Parcellite honors left-click but this seems pretty minor, and i3bar may even have buttons backwards for all I can tell.
Also in that screenshot is polybar, which did not work (though it was just a debugging idea anyway).
Steps to get it all working in vanilla i3bar were:
sudo dnf install libdbusmenu-gtk3-develgit clone https://git.sr.ht/~steef/snixembedcd snixembed && make && ./snixembedgo run fyne.io/fyne/v2/cmd/fyne_demo@latestBeta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
