Uncaught Error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application

I have Windows 7 x64, Visual Studio 2013, NW.js 0.12.3. After successful compilation I run the app and see the following error:

Uncaught Error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
D:\Node\nw-test\node_modules\win-sqlcipher\node_modules\sqlite3\lib\binding\node-webkit-v0.12.3-win32-x64\node_sqlite3.node

On Ubuntu works fine.

@ua2004 how about trying win-sqlcipher instead, to see what happens? There is also an NW test inside it.

What was your command to install cross-sqlcipher? Was it:

npm i cross-sqlcipher --runtime=node-webkit --target=0.12.3 --target_arch=x64

@fritx win-sqlcipher produces the same error. I have tried the following commands:

npm i cross-sqlcipher --runtime=node-webkit --target=0.12.3 --target_arch=x64
npm i win-sqlcipher --runtime=node-webkit --target=0.12.3 --target_arch=x64

I have Windows7 x64 + VS2013, too. And it works fine with NW 0.12.3 x64 and ia32.

What is your NW arch? process.arch

My process.arch is x64 and process.platform is win32.

How about running NW test in win-sqlcipher?

npm i -g nwjs
nw use 0.12.3

cd win-sqlcipher
npm i --runtime=node-webkit --target=0.12.3 --target_arch=x64
nw ./nw

updated: --target_arch=x64

I'm getting the same error.

npm i cross-sqlcipher --runtime=node-webkit --target=0.11.0 --target_arch=ia32

Error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
e:\pc\src\node_modules\cross-sqlcipher\node_modules\win-sqlcipher\node_modules\sqlite3\lib\binding\node-webkit-v0.11.0-win32-ia32\node_sqlite3.node

But it works fine on node-webkit-v0.11.0-win-x64 with --target_arch=x64.

Solved it after replacing OpenSSL.

If anyone else runs into this issue (like I did): The most common cause for this is that one of the DLLs (such as libeay32.dll) is a 64-bit version, while it needs a 32-bit version. Don't be fooled by the "32" in the name - it's doesn't say anything about 32-bit/64-bit.
