Here are my notes from the meeting. Please let me know if you have any updates or corrections. Writing these up I did have one clarification question about who can attend the co-branded meetings between FINOS and InnerSource Commons. Are FINOS meetings open or closed to non-FINOS members?

Notes:
• Discussion on the requirements of FINOS
• Who hosts the event?
• Events have to be hosted by FINOS
• We had previously discussed the existing InnerSource IPSO as a place to host but FINOS requirements mean that they have to be host, or at least a co-host.
• This is so that FINOS members can attend without going through further approvals.
• If it ran in conjunction with InnerSource IPSO it could create additional friction for members to attend.
• Attendees of the SIG have previously agreed to certain criteria when they joined. e.g. hosted on FINOS infrastructure.
• Follow FINOS procedure to host.
• E.g. Record the session & appropriate declarations at the start
• Sessions are recorded to facilitate note taking. No requirement to keep recordings for audit.
• Recordings are never published without the consent of everyone present.
• Need to use the FINOS hosting infrastructure. e.g Zoom Account - actually a Linux Foundation account.
• Need to ensure the host is someone who is trained in FINOS procedures.
• Can be branded as a joined up meeting.
• Launching the joint SIG
• Purpose of SIG is to share content, discuss topics and take up work as required.
• Propose running meetings when there is content to discuss rather than a regular fortnightly / monthly session.
• Create a series of interesting topics to be discussed over the next quarter.
• Start with the Value Metrics paper written between Cham & Daniel.
• Promote within FINOS via weekly updates through marketing team to feature the SIG partnership.
• SIG vehicle to present topics back to FINOS members. Good way to promote and gain mindshare for InnerSource in FINOS.
• Work towards launch of joint SIG and publication of paper in NY conference (21st/22nd October)
• Licence and Authorship of paper to be agreed. Does Cham need Citi approval?
• After review of the paper by matt, Jane and Tasha, decide where and how it will be published. Intention is to co-brand between FINOS and InnerSource Commons.
• Actions:
• MC: Create a shared responsibility document to ensure we have clarity of operating model.
• Cham/Jane: Introduction to Griz (marketing team) and Tasha (case studies) to assist with the review of the paper, publication and marketing campaign.
• Clarification: Joint SIG sessions will also be promoted by InnerSource to its members and participants in Slack. Can anyone join SIG via InnerSource co-hosting or is membership limited to primarily FINOS members? Is there any impact on FINOS members if a non-FINOS member, working in a FSi, attends? Is the expectation that the invite is open or closed?
