[FYI] - Solving Multisite DetectPluginAssets error (expected array, got bool)

It seems get_option doesn't return an array unless you tell it to in newer versions. Not sure but this fixed the problem for me - there might be better ways to handle this but thought it might help someone get un-stuck in a pinch :)

Change this:

            /**
             * @var string[] $active_plugins
             */
            $active_plugins = get_option( 'active_plugins' );
            /**
             * @var string[] $active_sitewide_plugins
             */
            $active_sitewide_plugins = get_option( 'active_sitewide_plugins');

To This:

            /**
             * @var string[] $active_plugins
             */
            $active_plugins = get_option( 'active_plugins' , array() );
            /**
             * @var string[] $active_sitewide_plugins
             */
            $active_sitewide_plugins = get_option( 'active_sitewide_plugins', array() );
